PYD: Perpetrators of Gaza massacre must be held accountable

Today, PYD issued a statement regarding the massacre committed in Gaza, which stated:

“In the name of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, we condemn and denounce the Gaza Hospital massacre. We also offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. We call on the international community to hold accountable those who committed this massacre against defenseless civilians as soon as possible.

For nearly a century, violence has been used to solve issues in the region, and despite all parties providing victims and material and moral losses.

We, as the Democratic Union Party, affirm that nationalism and religious intolerance would bring disasters to the residents of the region.

Therefore, we need a peaceful and democratic concept to address all issues, including the Palestinian issue.

We call on the international community to stop this brutal war that claims the lives of thousands of innocent civilians, and must pressure the parties to declare an immediate ceasefire and begin dialogue in order to exchange prisoners and discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
