Protests continue in Qamishlo demanding release of prisoners

Qamishlo city has witnessed a protest demanding the release of prisoners held by the Interim Government since the beginning of January.

Families of prisoners held by the Interim Government organized a protest today in front of the Martyr Rubar roundabout in Qamishlo, demanding the immediate release of their sons and information about their fate.

Participants in the protest held up pictures of their imprisoned sons and banners demanding freedom for the prisoners and information about their fate. They chanted slogans such as "We want our prisoners," "Long live the prisoners' resistance," and "Freedom for the prisoners."

The January 29 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government stipulates the exchange of prisoners between the two parties in successive stages, during which four batches of prisoners were released, the first of which was carried out on March 10, the second on March 19, the third on April 11, and the fourth on May 8, during which 1,032 prisoners were released by the Syrian Interim Government.
