Protests by teachers excluded from permanent employment in Aleppo

A group of teachers from the northern region have organized a protest in Aleppo city, calling for completing the process of permanent employment of all teachers who were not included in the latest decrees, although they met the conditions.

Around 75 teachers have protested today, starting at Saadallah Al-Jabiri Square in Aleppo, moving towards the Directorate of Education and finally the Aleppo governorate building. The teachers called for completing the process of permanent employment of all teachers who have been left out from the decrees.

It was pointed out that about 400 teachers have been omitted from the decrees on permanent employment, although they belong to the same work category and meet the same conditions. The protesters insisted on completing the process of permanent employment for them without exceptions, which would ensure the principles of justice and equality.

Banners affirming their right to permanent employment were carried by the protesters, shouting the slogan: "We are not agents... but originals," stressing that their call was to stop the discrimination between people of the same work status and complete the process of permanent employment for all teachers.
