Protesters in Qamishlo calling for leader’s physical freedom

The people of Qamishlo Canton continue their sit-in under the sit-in tent, which was erected on the 17th of this month, in front of the building of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the city of Qamishlo, under the slogan "Freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue," in solidarity with the global campaign, which was launched in 74 centers around the world on October 10.

On the sixth day of the sit-in tent, the people of Amuda district of Qamishlo Canton participated, in addition to members of the war-wounded federation in NE Syria, and they raised pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

After chanting slogans that salute the resistance of leader Ocalan, “There is no life without the leader,” the activities of the sixth day began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs.

Then, Sherin Muhammad, member of the preparatory committee for the sit-in event and a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Qamishlo, drew attention to the ongoing struggle to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: “The echo of the voices and cries of the people and components in solidarity with the leader’s physical freedom is heard today throughout the entire world, we will not stop until we achieve our goals".

In turn, Marwa Zoro, member of the Amuda District Council, highlighted the importance of solidarity activities and demanding the leader’s physical freedom, and noted that their struggle as peoples is insufficient in the face of the conspiracies being hatched against them and in the face of the leader’s sacrifices.

She pledged to escalate the struggle, "We will remain in the squares and join all activities demanding the physical freedom of the leader until it is achieved.

On behalf of the Economic Body, Suhayla Shamo, confirmed that all the policies of Turkish fascism and the dominant countries against the leader will not discourage them from continuing the struggle and demanding the leader’s physical freedom, and she said: “As women in NE Syria, we pledge to continue the struggle and follow the leader’s path".

For her part, Zaria Zilan, member of the war-wounded federation in North and East Syria, explained that they are continuing to struggle according to what the stage requires to liberate the leader, and she stressed, "We have sacrificed and will sacrifice in order to achieve the physical freedom of the leader".

The activities of the sit-in tent continue with the arrival of the people of Al-Antariya neighborhood in the city of Qamishlo to the sit-in tent.
