PKK announces martyrdom of leaders Ali Haydar Kaytan and Riza Alton

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) announced in its statement on its 12th conference, held at the invitation of leader Abdullah Ocalan, the martyrdom of two prominent and founding members of the party, Ali Haydar Kaytan and Riza Alton.

Today, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) issued a statement regarding the results of its 12th conference, announcing the cessation of all activities carried out in the name of the party. It also announced the martyrdom of two prominent and founding members of the party, Ali Haydar Kaytan, who was martyred on July 3, 2018, and Riza Alton, who was martyred on September 25, 2019.

The statement read: "On this basis, Comrade Fuad (Ali Haydar Kaytan), one of the prominent and founding members of the PKK, is recognized as a symbol of loyalty to leadership, truth, and sacred life. Comrade Riza Alton, one of the leader's early comrades, is recognized as a symbol of freedom comradeship."

The 12th conference, which bears a historic significance, affirmed the party's dedication of its struggle to these two great martyrs, who played a significant role from the beginning of the freedom movement and who became pioneers with their unique struggle. "With this, we renew our pledge to all our martyred freedom fighters, and we affirm our unwavering commitment to fulfilling the dreams of the martyr for peace and democracy, Sirri Sirriyya Under."
