People of Hasaka protest against Leader Ocalan isolation 

Today, hundreds of people from the city of Hasaka, its towns and members of its institutions, went out in a march denouncing the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the recent decision of the Turkish authorities against him, which again prevented him from meeting with his lawyer and family for another 3 months.

The foot march began by chanting, “There is no life without the leader,” in front of leader Ocalan's garden in al Naseera neighborhood, amidst raising pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading, “Freedom for Leader Apo and a political solution to the Kurdish issue,” and another reading, “Freedom for Leader Apo.” Our freedom and the resistance of the Guerrilla is our dignity.”

The participants observed a minute of silence, then the member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party PYD, Abdul Ghani Oso, referred to what leader Abdullah Ocalan is facing in Imrali prison.

Oso explained that the Turkish authorities’ goal of these unjust decisions that violate human rights norms and laws is to “limit the spread of democracy and the freedom of the peoples."

Oso confirmed that Leader Abdullah Ocalan is showing great resistance in Imrali prison.

He pointed out what must be done to achieve the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed that striving for this is the duty of all societies, and said: “Because his project aims to rid societies of tyranny and oppression, and contributes to representing the will of societies.”

The march ended with a chant of "There is no life without the leader."
