Peace Mothers on Hunger Strike for Warisha Muradi

In support of the member of the Free Women's Association in Eastern Kurdistan, Warisha Muradi, and coinciding with the World Day Against the Death Penalty, the Peace Mothers in the city of Sneh in Eastern Kurdistan announced a 3-day hunger strike.

 In protest against the death sentence issued against women's rights activist and the member of the Free Women's Association in Eastern Kurdistan, Warisha Muradi, the Peace Mothers in the city of Sneh in Eastern Kurdistan began a hunger strike.

 Women's rights activist and member of the Free Women's Association of Eastern Kurdistan (KJAR), Risha Moradi, who has been detained in Evin Prison for more than 14 months, went on an open hunger strike on October 10, coinciding with the World Day Against the Death Penalty to protest the death sentence issued against her and the activists.

 The mothers of peace gathered on Mount Abidar, set fire to ropes symbolizing "execution" and chanted: "No to execution, yes to free life" and called on activists and international human rights organizations to wage a strong struggle against the death penalty and not allow the Iranian authorities to kill their children.

 She declared a 3-day hunger strike.

 Muradi was arrested in the city of Sene in Eastern Kurdistan on August 1, 2023, and after two weeks of interrogation in the intelligence department, she was transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. During this period, she was subjected to pressure and torture, and after five months, she was transferred to the women's Evin Prison.
