Ongoing activities in Southern Kurdistan in Support of resistance in Rojava

Thousands of residents from different areas and neighborhoods of the city of Sulaymaniyah in Southern Kurdistan took part today in a mass demonstration on Salem Street, expressing their support for the Kurdish people and rejecting the attacks carried out by mercenaries of the interim government.

The event included the participation of artists, activists, writers, religious teachers, and large crowds. A solidarity demonstration with Rojava was organized, featuring a performance by the youth orchestra “Nawa,” which presented several national and musical pieces.

Artist Bilen Fares said, “Culture is our identity, and now the Turkish state and the mercenaries of al-Jolani are trying to erase our culture. Therefore, the ‘Nawa’ Orchestra today affirmed its support for women and youth in Rojava. We will continue our support for the fighters and for the region.”

Musician Mir Akbar also explained that “Rojava represents a mother for the Kurds. Our hearts are there, and all we seek is the realization of the rights of the Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan.”

During the demonstration, participants raised Kurdish symbols and chanted slogans such as “Long live the resistance of Rojava,” “The Kurdish people are one,” and “Woman, Life, Freedom.”

In recent days, residents of Sulaymaniyah have continued to organize marches, campaigns, and various activities in support of the people of Rojava.

A mass rally  was also organized in the town of Qaladze, in support of Rojava Kurdistan, with citizens from various segments of society taking part.

During the rally, chants supporting the resistance in Rojava were raised.
