One of defenders in Sheikh Maqsoud: attackers were from ISIS

Banghin Halab, a member of the Internal Security Forces in Aleppo who was wounded while defending the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid against attacks by the mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government backed by the Turkish occupying state, gave a statement to ANHA agency.

Banghin Halab explained that the mercenary groups that attacked the neighborhoods were affiliated with the Turkish state and ISIS, adding: “The way they attacked and the symbols on their clothing were those of ISIS. We know them well, as we have been fighting them for years. They carried out the assault in a brutal manner.”

He confirmed that the attacking groups were not only mercenaries of the so-called “National Army,” noting that this group was responsible for looting, dragging away the bodies of the attacking mercenaries, looting shops, stealing cars, and forcibly opening stores.

He pointed out that more than 300 bodies of those mercenary groups were left lying on the ground, but that this information was being concealed from public opinion.

Halab also referred to the attacks that targeted Khaled Fajr Hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, saying: “They attacked the hospital with tanks, and their shells were hitting the building despite the large number of wounded inside.”

Continuing about the hospital, he added that the mercenary groups cut off the water supply, leaving the wounded with no water to drink, so they remained in their places drenched in blood.

In conclusion, he said that the mercenary groups did not use just one drone, but between six and seven drones, some of them suicide drones, while others belonged to the Turkish state and are known as “Bayraktar.” He also highlighted the resistance of the besieged neighborhoods’ defenders and their struggle during this attack, and how the forces managed to destroy the attacking tanks.
