The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a congratulatory telegram today on the occasion of International Workers' Day, which falls on May 1 of each year. The message praised the role of workers and toilers in building and advancing societies, emphasizing that workers represent "the fundamental pillar in building a new Syria based on justice, equality, and democracy."

The administration emphasized that International Workers' Day carries great symbolism in the struggle of the working class against exploitation and monopoly, and in consolidating the concepts of equality, freedom, and social justice. It noted that "the struggle of this class has had the greatest impact on the development of societies, through models of participatory life and resistance to hierarchical, authoritarian systems."

It added, "Although workers have been and continue to be among the most oppressed and persecuted groups throughout history, from slavery and peasants to today's workers, they have remained the unknown soldiers in building and developing civilizations."

Regarding the Syrian situation, the Autonomous Administration emphasized that the working class played a pivotal role in the revolution in North and East Syria, as it represents one of the main foundations of this revolution, which aims to eliminate all forms of exploitation and monopoly and build a decentralized democratic system that guarantees justice for all.

The Autonomous Administration called for Labor Day to be considered an occasion to develop the organization and strengthen the struggle against the concepts of tyranny and exploitation, emphasizing the important role of workers in rebuilding Syria on democratic foundations that guarantee rights and respect sacrifices.

The Administration concluded its message by extending congratulations to all workers, both male and female, in NE Syria and throughout the country, expressing its hope for peace and stability and for equal opportunities in a future Syria that embraces all segments of society and guarantees justice and dignity for all.
