Number of Turkish occupation mercenaries killed rises to 72

Since yesterday, Thursday, until the early hours of this morning, the Manbij Military Council forces have been engaged in fierce clashes with the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. The forces managed to repel all Turkish attacks, inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment, killing dozens and wounding others.

The Manbij Military Council forces revealed in a statement a short while ago that the number of Turkish occupation mercenaries killed has risen to 72, with dozens more wounded in the fighters’ resistance south and east of Manbij.

The statement read:

“The number of Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries killed in the resistance waged by our forces, the Manbij Military Council forces, against attempts to attack south and east of the city of Manbij and the Tishrin Dam countryside, since yesterday until this morning, Friday, has risen to 72 mercenaries, in addition to dozens of wounded. The bodies of 16 mercenaries have fallen into the hands of our forces. A mercenary vehicle was destroyed this morning, and several weapons and a quantity of ammunition were seized. With this, the number of armored military vehicles destroyed by our forces has risen to seven, including a tank and two vehicles mounted with DShK machine guns.”

The Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries, with the participation of hundreds of fighters from the “Hurras al-Din” organization of Uzbek, Turkistani, and Chechen nationalities, launched a fierce attack on villages south and east of the city of Manbij and in the countryside of the Tishrin Dam. However, our forces repelled the attacks, killing and wounding dozens of them.

Yesterday's attack was supported by five Turkish occupation drones, as well as modern Turkish tanks and armored vehicles. The attacks targeted the villages of "Al-Atshanah, Al-Saeedin, Khirbet Twaina, Mahshiya Sheikh Obeid Al-Mustafa, Khirbet Zmala, Al-Mastaha, Tal Siritel, and Aloush" south and east of Manbij city. Our fighters’ resistance thwarted the attacks and killed dozens of mercenaries.

Our fighters waged heroic resistance against the hordes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, engaging them in direct clashes. We have published several scenes of the clashes and the destruction of enemy vehicles yesterday, Thursday.

Faced with the heroic resistance of our fighters and the failure of the mercenaries' attacks, the Turkish occupation escalated its attacks with drones and heavy artillery on the Tishrin Dam, causing significant damage to parts of it. This increases the risk of a threat to the dam due to the Turkish occupation’s attacks. The Turkish occupation state bears responsibility for any damage to the dam and its surroundings.

In the resistance of our forces against the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, 11 of our fighters rose to the rank of martyrdom after demonstrating acts of heroism and sacrifice, thwarting all enemy attacks.”
