In the context of the general mobilization declared by the Autonomous Administration and the SDF to counter the attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeting the peoples of the North and East Syria region, 24 women from Tal Tamr, Jazera Canton joined this campaign to take a decisive step in strengthening defenses.

The new group of women in Tal Tamr, along with previous groups, has begun enrolling in training courses to learn the art of using weapons, with the aim of supporting the SDF in repelling Turkish aggression.

The training includes learning how to disassemble, assemble, and effectively use weapons to counter any threats the region may face.

This step was organized by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the city and supervised by the Community Protection Forces.

In this context, citizen Laila Suleiman expressed the importance of these courses, saying: "I, along with a group of women, have joined a training course to learn how to use weapons to support the SDF and the Women's Protection Units (YPJ)."

She added: "We want to be able to protect our region alongside the SDF and YPJ in case the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries think of launching attacks on our area."

On January 4, 25 women from Tal Tamr had already joined another weapons training course, organized by Kongra Star and supervised by the Internal Security Forces – Women, in a step that highlights the determination of women in the region to defend their land and community against any threats.
