Negotiation Delegation of NE, Syria highlights items discussed with Transitional Government representatives

The negotiation delegation of North and East Syria posted on its official page on platform X details about their meeting today with representatives of the transitional government in Damascus.

The meeting included the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazlum Abdi; the Co-chair of the Foreign Relations Office, Ilham Ahmed; the Commander of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), Rohalat Afrin; alongside the Head of the Transitional Government, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, and Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Sheibani.

The negotiation delegation published details about the agenda items discussed during the meeting.

According to the post, four main items were discussed with the transitional government representatives, and it was emphasized that no official documents were signed during the meeting.

The delegation mentioned that a proposal for the merger of the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces was presented verbally, with the aim of establishing an organized and effective army that protects all Syrians.

And during the meeting they discussed to combat terrorism, as well as returning IDPs.

It was also agreed upon a full and immediate ceasefire in North and East Syria and Aleppo, along with amending the Syrian constitution to guarantee representation of all components.
