NE Syria witnesses escalation between Damascus forces and mercenaries

Since yesterday, northwest Syria has witnessed mutual bombardment between Damascus forces and mercenaries, which has so far resulted in the injury of two mercenaries.

Two mercenaries from Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham were injured, in an artillery shelling carried out by Damascus forces on the Al-Kabina axis in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia.

In the early morning hours, northwest Syria also witnessed ground bombardment by Damascus forces on the areas of Al-Fatira, Fleifel and Al-Bara in the Jabal Al-Zawiya area in the southern countryside of Idlib, in addition to the villages of Kafarama and Taqad in the western countryside of Aleppo.

In turn, the "Al-Fath Al-Mubin" mercenaries bombed the villages of Al-Malajah and Kawkaba in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Yesterday, Damascus forces, with air support from Russian warplanes bombed the southern areas of Idlib and parts of the countryside of Aleppo, Hama, and Latakia, after a state of calm, which accompanied the holding of the 21st round of the Astana process on Wednesday and Thursday.
