The Democratic Women's Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa (NDA) issued a written statement today, Monday, regarding the military escalation in the region and the resulting casualties.

The statement read as follows: "In these pivotal historical moments, overshadowed by the fires of occupation and wars, and where tensions are escalating, we, the 'Nada Alliance,' raise our voice not only to mourn the reality but to expose the falsehood of the tragic paths to which our societies and peoples are being forcibly led."

What we are witnessing today in the bloody war in Palestine (particularly Gaza) and the escalating violence in the region is not just a limited conflict, but a raging fire that threatens to engulf the entire region, as the circle of flames expands to affect the security and stability of entire nations.

From the heart of the Levant in Syria and Iraq, thru the repercussions that touch the stability of Lebanon, which is burning from the fire of aggression, reaching the anxiety that envelops the Gulf states, passing thru North Africa, we are facing a comprehensive regional war, the price of which is paid by the peoples who have become fuel for the conflicts of the great powers and the capitalist system that is chasing profit and money.

We clearly see how our region has turned into a stage for international score-settling, where the interests of capitalist powers intersect with ambitions of domination, occupation, and displacement, leaving us facing a senseless war whose fires cannot be extinguished, with no winners except arms dealers and centers of influence that are indifferent to the destruction of cities or the dismantling of social fabric. These forces that claim "democracy" and speak of the "international order" are the same ones that bloodily feed the war machine, violate national sovereignty, and make our bodies, our security, and the future of our children a tax for their colonial ambitions.

We at "Nida Alliance," from our feminist perspective that sanctifies life and rejects the logic of brute force, affirm that the violation of civilian security and the infringement on the sovereignty of the Republic of Iran and other countries are complete crimes that cannot be justified by geopolitical interests, and they lead us all into a dark tunnel.

Our commitment to our peoples compels us not to be false witnesses to this devastation, so we categorically refuse to be mere pawns in the chessboard of a global war, and we refuse to let our homelands turn into open fields of destruction, where the dreams of women and children are crushed under the weight of bombardment and displacement.

We call upon all feminist movements and liberation forces to unite in the struggle, for the battle is not merely military, but an existential one against a global system that exploits peoples to serve distant capitalist centers.

Our choice remains steadfast: peace based on justice, and sovereignty stemming from the will of the peoples, not from the dictates of colonial powers. We will remain a voice of rejection and a true actor in the path that restores dignity and security to our homelands, away from the ambitions of imperialism and Zionism and their insatiable bloodshed.
