Turkish occupation forces shelled a house in the Rajo (Mabrouka) camp yesterday, resulting in the injury of three women, one of whom is in critical condition.

In response, Mothers for Peace in Afrin - Shahba Canton in NE Syria issued a statement condemning the Turkish occupation's targeting of women.

The statement was read in Arabic by Salwa Hassan,  member of the Martyrs' Families Council, and in Kurdish by council member Siedra Hamo, at the Birkhedan camp in Fafin town.

Mothers for Peace emphasized that Turkish occupation continues to commit crimes that violate all humanitarian and ethical values, referring to the murder of 8-year-old girl Nareen Quran, whose body was found in a sack in the waters of a river in N. Kurdistan.

In their statement, Mothers for Peace called on freedom advocates, especially women, to come out and rise up against repeated attacks on women and children, and to confront these dirty policies, demanding that the international community take a firm stance against Turkish occupation and its crimes against women and children.
