Message from Leader Abdullah Ocalan

Omar Ocalan conveyed a message from leader Abdullah Ocalan, stating: "The leader said that if the conditions are right, I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from a ground of conflict and violence to a legal and political ground."

Omar Ocalan, a member of parliament for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) from Urfa and the nephew of leader Abdullah Ocalan, met with him.

Omar Ocalan posted on the virtual platform "X": "I last met Mr. Abdullah Ocalan on March 3, 2020, and after several years, we met as the family of Mr. Abdullah Ocalan on October 23, 2024. Meeting with family is a legal right, and we want these meetings to continue regardless of the circumstances."

Omar Ocalan explained: "This visit came as part of a family meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Ocalan assessed the overall political developments and requested that the following message be conveyed to the public: 'Isolation continues. If the conditions are right, I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from a ground of conflict and violence to a legal and political ground.'"

Omar Ocalan noted that the leader is in good health and sent his greetings to everyone.
