Memorial ceremony for activist Saleh Muslim held in Herne, Germany

Hundreds of members of the Kurdish community, along with national figures and supporters of Kurdish politician Saleh Muslim, the father of martyr Sherfan Muslim, as well as members of his family, participated in a memorial ceremony held in Herne, Germany. The event honored his lifetime of struggle dedicated to serving the Kurdish people and their cause.

The ceremony was attended by political and social figures and representatives of Kurdish community institutions across Europe, in addition to large numbers of Kurdish diaspora members who traveled from different German cities to commemorate the late activist.

The memorial began with a minute of silence in tribute to his memory, followed by speeches highlighting the role he played during his political and national career.

Speakers emphasized that he represented the model of a committed activist who devoted his efforts to defending the rights of the Kurdish people and working for freedom and dignity.

They also noted that he was known for his inclusive national character, humility, and closeness to the people, as well as his steadfast positions in defending Kurdish issues.

Participants expressed their sorrow over the loss of a figure who had a notable presence in Kurdish political life, affirming that his memory will remain alive in the hearts of the Kurdish people.

It is worth noting that activist Saleh Muslim passed away at the age of 75 after a struggle with illness, following a long political career during which he played a role in Kurdish political and organizational work for decades.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, participants stressed that his passing represents a loss for the Kurdish national movement, while affirming that his legacy of struggle will remain a source of inspiration for future generations.
