A widespread fire has encircled the electricity substation in the town of Tal Tamr, amid intensive efforts by emergency teams, supported by local residents, to prevent the flames from reaching the facility and to bring the fire under control.

The fire broke out in the lands surrounding the substation before rapidly spreading due to high temperatures and dry vegetation, effectively surrounding the facility and increasing the level of danger.

Emergency teams immediately rushed to the site, supported by volunteers and local residents, and began firefighting operations and creating firebreaks to limit the spread of the flames under difficult field conditions.

The teams are focusing their efforts on preventing the fire from reaching the station’s installations and equipment, given the potential for severe damage and a possible power outage affecting the town and its surrounding areas.

Firefighting operations are still ongoing, no information has been reported about injuries or damage inside the substation.
