Massive destruction in al-Suwaydiyah Station due to Turkish occupation bombing

The Turkish occupation army bombardment caused massive damage to the infrastructure of al-Suwaydiyah Station, which is one of the most important power generation centers in al-Jazira canton.

Last night, at 2:30, the Turkish occupation army bombed al-Suwaydiyah Station in the countryside of the city of Derik in al-Jazira canton, which led to the martyrdom of 7 people working at the station; in addition to injuring dozens.

Al-Suwaydiyah Station is a thermal power station, located in the town of al-Suwaydiyah in the city of Girkê Legê, next to the Rmelan field and the gas plant, and is one of the stations responsible for supplying Syria with electricity.

It is also the only source in al-Jazira canton that is relied upon to supply service lines exempted from electricity rationing, such as water stations, ovens, hospitals, mills, silos and communications.

The photos and videos documented by ANHA's correspondents show the extent of the massive destruction inflicted on the infrastructure of al-Suwaydiyah Station.
