Massive demonstration in Euphrates against extension of "disciplinary sanctions" on Leader

The lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office stated that Turkish authorities issued a new decision preventing leader Abdullah Ocalan from meeting with his lawyers for six more months. They expressed their rejection of this decision and announced that an appeal would be submitted to the Constitutional Court.

Denouncing the system of torture and annihilation imposed by Turkish authorities on leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Euphrates Canton witnessed a massive demonstration with the participation of thousands of residents.

The demonstrators gathered in the Free Women's Square in the city of Kobani, protesting against the system of torture and annihilation. They marched towards Martyr Akid Square in the city, carrying images of leader Abdullah Ocalan and banners in Kurdish reading, "Life is being killed in Imrali."

The crowds marched through the streets of Kobani and stopped at Martyr Akid Square. After observing a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs, Salih Noah, member of the Democratic Union Party Council in the Euphrates Canton, spoke. He stated:

"If the Turkish state is trying today to recreate history by playing tricks on the Kurdish people, it is utterly delusional and foolish. Today, the great shield protecting the people of Kurdistan in all its components is leader Abdullah Ocalan and his enlightening philosophy, which illuminates the Middle East and the world."

Salih Noah added:

"Our people cannot accept this historical injustice. Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been detained for 26 years, and they are imposing isolation upon isolation on him. We will not accept this bitter reality. The Kurdish people have become aware, and their struggle in Kurdistan is escalating day by day. Our people will not stop until we achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The demonstration concluded with chants of, "No life without the leader."
