Mass dissatisfaction with hate speech in Syria and calls to implement March 10 agreement

In the last few weeks, inciting posts laced with hate speech that are meant to trigger sectarian war among Syria's communities have proliferated on social media. Citizens of Raqqa see them as a menacing sign that would cause fights that put the stability of the entire Syria at risk.

Ibrahim Ali al-Qa'id, aged 55, cried and deplored reading the daily news that he does, exclaiming, "Enough strife. enough sectarianism. we are one people, our name is Syrian, whether we are in Raqqa, Qashmilo, or Hasakah, in Latakia, Sweida, Damascus, Hama, or Aleppo. we are all brothers in God. Syria does not belong to one person or one battalion; Syria belongs to everyone.

He continued, "Whether my brother is Kurdish, Christian, Druze, Alawite, Arab, or from Damascus, it does not matter to me. What matters is that we are brothers, one shoulder, one hand. If we do not all stand together and become one, then all that will be left is destruction, destruction for the entire Syria."

He continued, "Syria is the most handsome country in the world, paradise on earth, but we are destroying it in our own hands through sectarianism and conflict. Why are we destroying it? Why not build our country up and not tear it down? Let's plant hope in its people's hearts and let its children who have emigrated to Europe, America, and Germany come back. Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Hasakah, and Qamishli are all lovely, all of Syria. Let's preserve them together and build them up with our own hands, and not tear them down."

Omar Helo emphasized, "Not influenced by fake and forged news spread on social media, and adhering to the official and accredited pages in North and East Syria, and all Syria."

He wished "the best for all of Syria, and for there to be a genuine partnership and crystalline understanding between the transitional government and the autonomous administration, so that Syria might be one state, with the army a part of one national institution."

He added, "We hope that things are clarified, and that March 10 understanding between Sharaa and Mazloum Abdi will be implemented in a way that serves the people's interests and preserves the unity of the country."

Hello continued, "The citizens have had enough, over the past 14 years, and they no longer have the ability to absorb anymore crises. So we call for pragmatic solutions that protect everyone's rights and establish stability in Syria."

Mustafa al-Raslan continued, "Sedition can only yield devastation, be it leading to war or not. We call on God to guide everyone, protect our nation, and better Syria."
