Marches denouncing Turkish attacks in Deir ez-Zor and Tal Brak

As part of the ongoing activities in the NE Syria denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the region, the Tal Brak district witnessed a mass march denouncing, in which hundreds of people of the district, members and members of civil and military institutions, political parties, and notables of the area participated.

The co-chair of Tal Brak district council, Abdul Rahman Al-Saleh, delivered a speech in which he denounced the Turkish attacks, and said: “We condemn and deplore the Turkish attacks on the region of NE Syria and the attack on infrastructure such as gas and electricity stations. Their aim is to destabilize the security and safety of the people, this policy is a policy of starvation and displacement of citizens, so that they want to incite the people and sow discord among the components of the region.”

Al-Saleh also condemned the international silence regarding these crimes and repeated terrorist acts, and called on “the guarantor countries to put pressure on the occupation government and put an end to these inhumane practices.” He also appealed to the people of the region from all components, “to stand united against the attacks of Turkish fascism and to continue the struggle until freedom is achieved.”

In Deir ez-Zor Canton, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union organized a similar march, which started from the Martyrs’ Roundabout in the town of Al-Sa'awa, west of the Canton, in which hundreds of people participated.

The participants chanted the slogans “There is no life without the leader,” “Long live the resistance to the leader,” and “No to the Turkish occupation,” raising pictures of the victims of the Turkish bombing and the destruction caused by the bombing.

During the march, a statement was read on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Deir ez-Zor Canton, by member Ali al-Ahmad.

The statement indicated that the ongoing brutal attacks and bombing carried out by the Turkish occupation state in recent times are nothing but targeting the peoples of the NE Syria with the intention of displacing them.

The statement pointed out that the bombing indicates the extent of the cowardice of the Turkish occupation state in confronting the project of the peoples of NE Syria.

The statement stressed that the youth will continue their resistance and steadfastness in the face of the Turkish occupation state, "No matter how much it attacks, it will not achieve its goal and its colonial plan, and with the determination and will of the NES peoples, we will break your tyranny."
