March to launch in Qamishlo tomorrow to demand Ocalan's freedom

The residents of Qamishlo in Jazira region are preparing to participate in a popular march tomorrow, November 17, at the invitation of the Popular Initiative, under the slogan "The Time Has Come for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The march is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM from the Soni roundabout in the city, and will conclude with a rally featuring speeches expressing the participants' demands.

This march aims to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and his release. In this context, the Popular Initiative has called on the residents of Qamishlo to participate in large numbers in the march.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been held for 26 years in Imrali prison under strict isolation, without the Turkish authorities taking any steps towards his release to this day, despite his call for "peace and a democratic society" issued on February 27 of this year, and the measures taken by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), causing widespread discontent among the region's population.
