London to witness rally demanding freedom of Leader, solution to Kurdish Issue

The rally, organized under the slogan “Freedom, Peace, and a Democratic Society for Leader Apo,” will take place in the British capital on November 2. It aims to demand the physical freedom of Leader Ocalan and promote a democratic resolution to the Kurdish question.

According to Firat News Agency, the march will start at 1:00 p.m. in front of the BBC headquarters and head toward Trafalgar Square, with broad participation from members of the Kurdish community and democratic groups across the United Kingdom.

The event is organized by the Jiyan Women’s Council, the Kurdish People’s Council in London, and the Revolutionary Youth Movement. The organizing committees have been working to ensure large-scale participation through field mobilization campaigns, including home visits, awareness booths, and coordination with friendly institutions.

Women participating in the preparations said they were inspired by Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s philosophy of “Woman, Life, Freedom,” calling for a general mobilization and stressing that “women’s freedom is a fundamental condition for the freedom of society.” They pledged to be at the forefront of the rally.

Feliz Dersim, spokesperson for the preparatory committee and the Jiyan Women’s Council, said: “We have not forgotten the ongoing political manipulations of the past years. We call on the British government to assume its responsibilities and contribute to a just solution—or to stop obstructing our people’s legitimate struggle. Without the freedom of Leader Apo and a dignified, equal life for the Kurdish people, there can be no true peace in Turkey or the Middle East.”

At the conclusion of the statement, the preparatory committee called on all members of the public, democratic parties, and supporters of freedom and peace to take part actively in the rally on November 2.
