Leader Ocalan addresses issue of escalating violence in society, focuses on organization

Imrali delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Partî) revealed that the leader Abdullah Ocalan focused on social problems, particularly violence, during his recent meeting. The delegation made clear that Ocalan follows social events and the increasing problems between individuals, families, and clans through the media.

The Welat News Agency quoted from the delegation that Ocalan stated, "I know that violence in society is increasing during the state of emergency, especially violence against women, which has reached a high level. I am deeply pained by this."

The delegation further explained that Ocalan offered the following assessment regarding violence in society, "One of the reasons I am so focused on resolving these problems is that I am enable to address them and concentrate on finding solutions. Once we have passed the first stage of the peace process and the establishment of the democratic society, these issues will also come into play. I promise to work as hard as ten ministries in a short period, and the issue of violence in society will be among the first issues I will focus on. In addition, legal, social, ethical, and cultural measures must be taken to confront this problem."

Regarding immediate measures, the leader Abdullah Ocalan called on everyone, saying, "I say to those who are listening to me to lay down their weapons confronting each other ethically. They must not utter a single word that could hurt one another. They must resolve their problems through reason and dialogue. I reject violence within the family, among families, clans, and between communities and cities. I consider it an immoral act."

The leader called on all those with a sound conscience to contribute to combating this violence and addressing this problem. He was quoted as saying, "Everyone who wishes to bear responsibility in this matter must view it as a moral obligation and play their role at the highest level. I ask this of all patriots, friends, and comrades. I have said before that we will not allow this to happen, and will not allow a single person to lose their life in this process. In that, we will succeed. Therefore, we must put an end to this violence that tears our society apart. Regardless of the violence, not even a single word that could hurt a person should be uttered."

The greatest struggle for democracy is the people's organization

In terms of political responsibility in this matter, the leader called for a vigorous struggle. The leader Abdullah Ocalan attributed the violence to a lack of organization, emphasizing the following points, "I have warned repeatedly that society must be organized. Organization must be expanded to encompass even its smallest unit. This society cannot be neglected. The greatest struggle for democracy is the organization of the people."

During the meeting, the leader Abdullah Ocalan highlighted the role of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party in politics and societal organization, stating, "In the second stage of the process, I will address this issue. The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party possesses enormous potential. It must have confidence in itself. It is a decisive party. Whether the people's alliance or the nation alliance comes to power, it cannot happen without the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party. Therefore, society must organize and trust itself. Its potential is approximately 20%."

According to information shared by the delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party, in the last meeting, the leader Abdullah Ocalan focused a lot on issuing the integration law, and called on everyone and democratic circles to assume their responsibilities and make efforts.
