“Leader Abdullah Ocalan: Light illuminating people's path yearning for freedom”

Amid rising popular demands in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for the physical freedom of Abdullah Ocalan, renewed calls have emerged to meet with him. Intellectuals and educators in Amuda emphasized that the time has come to see him among his people again.

“Meeting the Leader is an Intellectual and Political Necessity in the Current Stage”

Arshak Barafi, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in al-Jazira, stated: “I have met Leader Abdullah Ocalan several times and engaged in profound conversations and rich intellectual discussions that deeply influenced me and contributed to embedding concepts of freedom and democratic awareness.”

He added, “The presence of a figure like Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali is merely a reflection of the depth of the Kurdish cause, which was the result of schemes implemented by forces linked to international systems. Nevertheless, he remained free in his thought and a beacon illuminating the paths of people aspiring for dignity.”

Barafi further said, “Leader Ocalan is the philosopher of justice and the founder of the democratic nation ideology. The time has come to see him among us again, after he drew clear lines toward a free and balanced society through his positions and decisions.”

He concluded: “I want to meet him again, as he expressed in his Manifesto of Freedom and inspiring calls. His presence in Imrali has not confined his spirit; it has rather intensified its radiance. He is free in his thought, perceives himself as free, and has successfully guided us toward the right path with clarity and steadfastness.”

“The Leader is the Light Illuminating the Path of People Yearning for Freedom”

Likewise, intellectual and displaced person from the occupied Afrin city, Ismat Hassan, affirmed: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan represents a spiritual and intellectual source that nourishes peoples who seek freedom and dignity. His moral presence illuminates the path of peoples yearning for freedom.”

“The leader is our light can one live without light? He illuminated the entire Middle East. Abdullah Ocalan will not remain confined to Imrali, for his thought transcends geography and prisons.”

He added, “The leader is not an ordinary person; he embodies thought and philosophy, science and scholarship. To deny science is to deny oneself. We approach his thought driven by love because he embodies the freedom of peoples not only the Kurdish people but all humanity.”

He concluded, “We and the leader are connected as nail and flesh. In this connection, one cannot live without freedom. Our freedom is inseparable from his physical and intellectual freedom. His thought is filled with freedom, and we are lovers of this free thought.”

The Necessity of Seeing Leader Abdullah Ocalan

Javin Habib, a member of the Teachers’ Union in Amuda, called for the necessity of seeing Abdullah Ocalan, affirming that “the moment has come to achieve freedom and democracy in line with his recent calls that carry deep political and social visions.”

She explained, “The leader is physically present in Imrali, but his thought dwells within us; he is free among us through his intellectual and spiritual presence. This dream does not belong to an individual but is the dream of every Kurdish woman who sees in his thought a beacon of freedom and liberation.”

She emphasized, “The leader has been and continues to be an advocate for women’s thought and freedom and has never been distant from their struggle at any stage.”

The Importance of the Leader’s Thought in the Current Phase

Citizen Faisal Halima stated, “Leader Abdullah Ocalan is one of the great figures who left a prominent imprint on the political and social consciousness of the region,” stressing that “his presence alongside his people is no longer an option but an urgent necessity, due to his profound thought and precise evaluations, as well as the key he holds for solutions and freedom for all the peoples of the region.”

He added, “Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a great figure who must be physically free because the Middle East is witnessing a sensitive phase, and in this phase, his thought becomes critically important for making decisive decisions.”
