Lawyer, writer: Turkey negotiates with leader on one hand; exterminates Kurds on the other

The Turkish occupation state is continuing its attacks on North and East Syria, targeting residential areas, trying to occupy more lands, despite calls by leader Abdullah Ocalan to pass from the war stage to dialogue.

 In this context, the head of the Bar Association in al-Hasaka branch, Kawa Fatemi said: "The proposals of leader Abdullah Ocalan aim to end the stage of war and blind violence, and to search for peaceful solutions to the problems that society suffers from in the Middle East."

 Fatemi added, "The Turkish occupation state ascends from its military attacks on North and East Syria with the aim of eliminating the Democratic Autonomous Administration project, while trying to take a step towards peaceful and democratic transformation within its borders when it allowed the visit of leader Abdullah Ocalan.". This shows the great contradiction in Turkey's policy: on the one hand, calling for peace, and on the other hand, the cities continue to be bombed, infrastructure, and support of mercenaries.

Fatemi went on to say, "Turkey recently realized the major changes that will occur in the region after the collapse of previous balances. When it felt that its role in the democratic transformation will arrive, she resorted to leader Abdullah Ocalan, in an attempt to get rid of its internal and external crisis.

Fatemi said that Turkey failed in its intervention in Syria, failed to solve the Kurdish issue inside its territory, and its inability to achieve democratic transformation in Turkish and Kurdish society. He said that Turkey now sought to find a solution through the proposal of leader Abdullah Ocalan, so his peaceful initiatives could resolve the armed conflict between the Kurds and the Turkish state by proposing a model for the confederation or democratic union of the peoples of the Middle East.

Fatemi said, in turn, for his part : "After Turkey signed the Aqaba agreements concerning the international consensus to change the regime in Syria, it became clear that it is restraining itself with many international items whether public or hidden, while adhering to its mercenaries who attack the gains of the Syrian people in general, and the peoples of North and East Syria in particular".

He pointed out that the attacks by the Turkish occupation state in North and East Syria aim to liquidate the Syrian Democratic project, which represents new solutions to political change and the social system in the country.

 Fatemi believed that those attempts would fail in view of the historic resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces-the SDF-to the occupation state's attempts to control the Tishreen Dam and adjacent areas of the occupied territories.

Meanwhile, during an interview with a member of al-Jazira canton Intellectuals, Azhar Ahmed, has pointed out that the Turkish occupation state lives in a real internal crisis and this is evident from its contradictory statements. At a time when the Kurds threaten, we find it seeking to negotiate with the PKK and leader Abdullah Ocalan.

 Added Ahmed: 'Turkey uses these steps as a way of getting rid of internal and external pressure, especially with the increasing international pressure in order to try and remove the PKK from the blacklist. The issue now is not just a matter of the personal opposition against leader Abdullah Ocalan but generally, the Anti-Kurdish Issue.

 He underlined that the Turkish occupation state is afraid of the democratic thought represented by leader Abdullah Ocalan for equality and freedom of all components in Turkey in one country without barriers. Therefore, it is trying to strip the Kurds of their victories and gains in North and East Syria in a move aimed at canceling their identity and aspirations.

 In concluding his remarks, Ahmed underscored that the Kurdish issue has become an interest for the whole world and it represents a big concern for the Turkish occupation state that is seeking to spread terrorism and destruction in Kurdistan.
