Today, November 27, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) enters its forty-seventh year, and the people of the North and East Syria region, along with its fighters and war casualties, celebrate this occasion with enthusiasm and passion.

Çakdar Afrin, who was injured during the Revolution of North and East Syria and is still actively involved in the struggle as a war wounded, spoke to ANHA's agency on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party.

The war wounded , Çakdar Afrin, began his speech by saying: "I congratulate leader Abdullah Ocalan and all the martyr comrades and our comrades who are writing epic tales of heroism on the mountain peaks on the 47th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party. Leader Abdullah Ocalan took this step and founded the Kurdistan Workers' Party in response to the martyrdom of comrade Haki Karer and in revenge for him. Undoubtedly, the founding of the Kurdistan Workers' Party is a revival of humanity and the world, a return to lost social values, and a defeat of the bloody authoritarian, masculine mentality and the masculine dominance mentality."

Çakdar Afrin commented on the attacks by the Turkish occupying state, saying: "Today, the enemy is launching its attacks on our fighters, the Freedom Guerrillas, and our community with all its might and available technologies." They target the youth and society with all dirty methods, in order not to lose their power. Therefore, the establishment of the Kurdistan Workers' Party came to confront this oppression and occupation, by defeating capitalist modernity, building a correct history, and developing an ethical and political society.

Çakdar stated that Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the leader of humanity, the leader of history and society, and said: "The occupation and its allies sought to eliminate the Kurdish liberation movement and society in the person of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, by imprisoning him in Imrali prison, but the leader did not allow them to do so. He re-established the party from prison, revived it and strengthened it. The Kurdish liberation movement has grown under the leadership of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and our comrades in prison, such as Mazlum Doğan, Kemal Pir, Mehmet Hayri Durmuş, and Ali Çiçek, have resisted all attacks and withstood the torture of the occupation forces. They have written a historical epic of fire, and this society and this people continue this struggle."

Çakdar highlighted the role of the war wounded, saying: “We, the war wounded, still consider ourselves indebted to the Kurdistan Liberation Movement and negligent towards our people. From now on, we will do our utmost to serve our people and our land. We will remain loyal to the Kurdistan Liberation Movement and faithful to our martyrs. We tell the enemy that these people whom you left hungry and thirsty for years will not remain silent. Those who have lived through the woes because of you will not remain silent. Today, thousands continue to struggle in the squares and demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

The war wounded, Çakdar Afrin, concluded his speech by saying: “We call on all societies and people who demand freedom, to raise their voices loudly, we must say loudly ‘We demand the freedom of our leader, the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan’. This year will be the year of freedom and physical freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan.”
