Kurdistan Region leaders offer condolences on death of Saleh Muslim

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader Bafel Jalal Talabani, and Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani sent messages of condolence on the death of Kurdish leader and Democratic Union Party (PYD) Presidential Council member Saleh Muslim, who passed away on Wednesday in a hospital in southern Kurdistan after battling illness.

In his message, Nechirvan Barzani expressed his deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and comrades of the deceased, sharing in their grief. He added that the late Muslim dedicated many years of his life to political struggle and advocating for the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people. He was one of the most prominent Kurdish leaders in Syria and played a significant role in various stages of the struggle. Barzani concluded his message with a prayer that God would have mercy on the deceased and grant his family and comrades patience and solace

For his part, Bafel Jalal Talabani expressed his deep sorrow at the news of Saleh Muslim's death, offering his sincere condolences to the Kurdish people of Western Kurdistan, to the deceased's comrades in the Democratic Union Party (PYD), and to his family. He emphasized that the deceased was a prominent leader in Western Kurdistan and played a significant role in national and patriotic issues, noting that his strong relationship with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) was a crucial factor in strengthening unity in defending the rights of the Kurdish people.

In turn, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, sent a message of condolence, stating that he received the news of the death of the well-known Kurdish figure and politician, Saleh Muslim, with profound sadness and grief. He expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to the family, relatives, and comrades of the deceased, sharing in their sorrow at this painful loss. He prayed that God would have mercy on the deceased, grant him paradise, and give his family patience and solace.
