The relevant authorities of the Syrian Interim Government announced today a curfew in several villages in the western Homs countryside, following an armed attack yesterday targeting the "District Administration Building in the village of Tal al-Shour."

According to a statement issued by the Homs Internal Security Forces, the curfew includes the villages of: al-Mashahda, Nuwayha, al-Halabiya, Jadida al-Asi, Ratiya al-Bahra, Khirbet Ghazi, Tal al-Shour, Danha, and Aysoun.

The curfew is in effect from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, with the possibility of extension depending on developments on the ground.

The statement explained that "the measure aims to enhance security and stability in the area and to pursue those involved in the attack," urging residents to remain in their homes and "follow the instructions of the security forces during the curfew to ensure their safety."
