Kurdish tribal leader warns against party divisions

Sartib Jaziri affirmed that the current stage requires achieving genuine Kurdish unity to confront the challenges facing the regions of Rojava. He noted that the Kurdish people have always been a fundamental pillar in supporting the struggle since the outbreak of the July 19 Revolution.

Jaziri explained that from the very beginning, the Kurdish people stood by their fighters—both men and women—across various fronts, providing all forms of material and moral support without hesitation. He emphasized that the people have never failed in their duty toward their cause and have remained present through all stages and circumstances.

He pointed out that the challenges facing Kurdish society today are not limited to external threats but are also linked to internal party disputes, which have led to fragmentation and division within the Kurdish street, negatively affecting the course of the Kurdish cause.

Jaziri added that the multiplicity of parties without a shared vision or unified project has brought society to a deadlock, calling for serious and responsible efforts to achieve real Kurdish unity, away from narrow interests and personal disputes, urgently).

He stressed the need to move beyond the current phase by prioritizing the public interest over partisan considerations, learning from past mistakes, and working to protect the Kurdish language, identity, and existence as essential pillars for survival and continuity.

He also warned that the continuation of divisions and disputes among parties could weaken the Kurdish position and threaten the future of the Kurdish cause amid rapid regional changes and challenges.

Jaziri called on parties that do not play an effective role in society to reconsider their positions—or even dissolve themselves if necessary—to make way for forces capable of serving the people’s interests, emphasizing that Kurdish unity is the only path to confronting current challenges and maintaining regional stability.

In conclusion, he affirmed that the current phase requires collective awareness and responsibility, and that despite the sacrifices made, the Kurdish people are capable of overcoming challenges if efforts are unified and roles are integrated among all forces.
