Kurdish Red Crescent distributes humanitarian aid in Kobani villages

The Kurdish Red Crescent, in cooperation with Kobani’s Social Affairs Committee, distributed humanitarian aid to residents of two villages in the city’s countryside.

The Kurdish Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Social Affairs Committee of Kobani, distributed humanitarian aid to residents of two villages in the outskirts of the city.

The aid targeted Khanka Abdu and Mili villages, located southeast of Kobani.

Hediye Abdullah, co-chair of the Kurdish Red Crescent, said the residents of Kobani and its countryside have been under siege for over a month. She emphasized that priority was given to the most affected villages.

She added: “Today we distributed basic supplies and clothing to the residents of Khanka Abdu and Mili, and we will continue our efforts to ease the suffering of the people by all possible means.”

This initiative is part of the Kurdish Red Crescent’s efforts to support local resilience and mitigate the humanitarian impact of the siege, in coordination with local authorities.
