Kurdish political parties: Turkey's occupation of Syrian territory exacerbates the country's crisis

The Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria and the Kurdish Democratic Party of Unity in Syria on the occasion of six years of Turkish occupation of Afrin issued a joint written statement, stating:

Since the invasion of Afrin, the Turkish flag has been raised throughout the region, and hundreds of thousands of its Kurdish inhabitants have been forcibly displaced under a systematic racist discriminatory policy of demographic change. Through the imposition of a new demographic architecture different from the historical, linguistic and cultural nature of its society and the various types and forms of violations and crimes, including extortion, the imposition of royalties, the seizure of people's property, qualitative arrests, torture, kidnappings, killings and the blocking of people's employment opportunities, have continued and continue to persist to cause them to displace. as well as continuing to destroy natural vegetation through deforestation, Destruction of shrines, especially those belonging to the people of the Yazidi faith and the continued theft and transfer of antiquities to Turkey, compounded by the many clandestine and public prisons and prisons inmates despite their deteriorating health conditions, Ill-treatment under the authority of conflicting militias fighting breathlessly for the looting and theft of public and private property in the midst of a state of security and chaos in front of the sight and hearing of the Turkish side with its civilian and military factions, It has become absurd and outrageous to characterize the area as a "liberated and safe area". The longer the Turkish occupation and its collaborators prolong for Afrin and other Syrian territories, the worse the Syrian crisis and the more complex it becomes, bringing with it an escalation of violence and destruction.
