On December 21, 2024, the Preparatory Committee for the "Kurdish Conference" announced the preparation to unify Kurdish visions during a press conference held in the city of Qamishlo.

Regarding the committee's work, the date of the conference, and its purpose, ANHA's agency met with the spokesperson for the Preparatory Committee for the "conference," Hevi Mustafa.

Hevi Mustafa said that a Preparatory Committee has been formed to hold the national consultative conference, and the committee's meetings are ongoing. Our goal was to hold the conference before the end of 2024, but it has been postponed to 2025 for some reasons, with the committee being expanded to include independent figures and representatives from civil society institutions.

Regarding the date of the conference, Hevi explained: "It will be held soon, in 15 days, unless any issues arise."

She confirmed that all political parties are positively awaiting the committee's invitations, and all parties have representatives in the committee. We sent an invitation to the Kurdish National Council to have representatives within the preparatory committee, but we have not received any response from them.

Hevi also explained that the committee will visit the Kurdish National Council to invite them again to participate in the conference.

Hevi mentioned that the purpose of holding the conference is "to unify the stance of the Kurdish political parties, to protect the gains of the Kurdish people in the four parts of Kurdistan, to reach a consensus on a unified vision for solving the Kurdish issue in Syria, how and in what form the solution will be, what is required from us, and what is needed from the Kurds to support the Rojava Revolution."
