Kongra Star members announce their joining general mobilization

Members of the Kongra Star in the city of Amuda, in the Jazira region, announced their joining the general mobilization in a statement read on Tuesday in front of the Kongra Star center, in the presence of several members.

The statement was read by the Kongra member Khelat Mala Ibrahim, who indicated that the events and massacres being perpetrated against the Kurdish people in Rojava are unacceptable under international and local laws and organizations. She criticized the silence of those responsible for protecting human rights, accusing them of being preoccupied with calculations of interests and sovereignty.

The statement explained that the Kurdish people were among the first peoples to make sacrifices and participated in various historical periods, yet they have not attained their rights. It emphasized that the Kurds have had no support other than their own people, and that they have always been an active force within the systems under which they have lived.

The statement added that every time the Kurds have demanded their rights, they have faced the states' unification against them, with the violations they suffer being ignored, deeming that rights are not granted but seized. The members affirmed their commitment to standing in support of the general alert call.

The women participating in the statement also emphasized their joining the general mobilization and their readiness to respond to any emergency, affirming their support for the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), the People's Protection Units (YPG), and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in defending the region.

The statement concluded with chants praising the resistance of the residents and fighters.
