Kongra Star condemns media incitement campaigns against Kurds

The Kongra Star issued separate statements in the cities of Qamishlo, Amuda, and Tirbê Spiyê in the Jazira region regarding the media incitement broadcast by some Arab channels against the Kurdish people and attempts to distort the facts.

The Kongra Star affirmed that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) constitute the primary force protecting the people of Rojava and have sacrificed thousands of martyrs in defense of dignity and freedom, emphasizing the importance of standing beside them in the face of attacks and conspiracies targeting them.

The Kongra Star also strongly condemned the mutilation of corpses and the cutting off a braid of a female fighter in the ranks of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), considering these acts a blatant violation of human and moral values and an attempt to undermine the will of free women and their leading role in resisting occupation and extremism.

The Kongra Star addressed the negative role of some media outlets that work to mislead public opinion and broadcast false news, calling for a boycott of these outlets, exposing their incitement policies, and demanding that the relevant authorities hold them legally accountable.

The Kongra Star concluded its statements by emphasizing the need to unite ranks, strengthen community solidarity, and continue supporting the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Women's Protection Units, and the People's Protection Units, as they are a fundamental guarantee for the security and stability of the region.
