Kojarat fire destroyed 73 hectares of agricultural land planted with crops

A fire broke out on Monday afternoon on agricultural land located between the villages of Krasor and Bana Shkefte, which belong to the Kojarat area in the rural part of Deirk city.

Immediately, emergency teams from Dirk, Rumailan, and Kerziro rushed to the fire scene. With assistance from local residents, they successfully contained the flames and prevented them from spreading to additional agricultural areas.

According to information obtained by ANHA correspondent, the fire has destroyed approximately 73 hectares of agricultural land, distributed as follows: 23 hectares belonging to residents of Bana Shkefte village and 50 hectares owned by local agricultural associations in the area.

The swift response of emergency teams and local residents helped contain the spread of the wildfire and minimize losses, especially as the region faces increasing fire risks due to the ongoing harvest season and rising temperatures.

No official information has been released yet regarding the causes that led to the fire outbreak. Meanwhile, authorities continue to assess the damage caused by the incident and accurately quantify the losses incurred.
