Kobani residents affirm that freedom, rights are prominent hopes for Eid

The residents of Kobani expressed their hopes and aspirations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha in statements to ANHA agency, emphasizing their commitment to freedom, rights, and a dignified life.

Sabah Hamo congratulated leader Abdullah Ocalan, the freedom fighters, and the families of martyrs on the occasion of Eid, saying, "Our hope is to live a dignified, free, and safe life, and the end of the suffering of displacement, wounds, and martyrdom."

She added, "Since 2014 until today, we have been resisting the enemies and continuing our struggle, and the Kurdish people aspire to achieve their rights, as do other communities."

For her part, Jihan Bozan pointed to the continued suffering of thousands of mothers, fathers, and children, saying, "The enemies have been violating the rights of the Kurdish people for years and are trying to eliminate their existence."

She added, "We want our rights. We want to speak and learn in our language, and we hope that the Kurdish people will achieve freedom and obtain their legitimate rights."

For his part, Zaki Ahmed Jemmo affirmed that the Kurdish people have been resisting injustice for years, and said, "The Kurdish people have not and will not surrender to the enemies. We believe in our strength and capabilities, and we will prove the existence of the Kurdish people in the world."

He added that the Kurdish people are committed to their rights, identity, and language. Zaki also emphasized their rejection of the marginalization of Kurds in local representation and their determination to continue following the path of the martyrs and working to achieve their aspirations and hopes for freedom and dignity.
