KJK: Leader Ocalan's call for peace constitutes severe blow to international conspiracy against him

The Kurdistan Women's Organization Coordination Office issued a written statement regarding the international conspiracy that targeted Leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998.

The statement included, "Today, we commemorate Leader Abdullah Ocalan for his honorable resistance against the Imrali genocidal regime for 27 years, and we commemorate with respect and gratitude all our comrades. We also commemorate the historic and purposeful efforts of the Kurdish people, Kurdish women, and the anti-regime forces and their allies who are constantly mobilizing their forces throughout the world, especially in Kurdistan, to liberate Leader Abdullah Ocalan. We also commemorate the enthusiasm of the women and their path, which began in Amed on October 1 and concluded in front of the Parliament in Ankara on October 7, led by women and under the slogan 'We March Towards Freedom With Hope," emphasizing the need for these steps, taken with great hope towards freedom, to continue in order to thwart this most comprehensive conspiracy in history completely and to ensure the liberation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The statement pointed out that the dominant powers in the region, which are promoting war by pursuing their own interests, constantly seek to incite peoples to fight each other through nation-states, while Leader Abdullah Ocalan's model of democratic nationhood is seen as an antidote to their heinous schemes.

The statement emphasized that wars in Gaza, Syria, Ukraine and Russia have proven once again that the model of the democratic nation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a model for free life for peoples and women. KJK added, "We see that the international conspiracy that began on October 9, 1998, is still being implemented today through various means. However, through the perspective of the democratic nation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, a system that would breathe life into all of Syria, especially in the North and East of Syria and even the entire Middle East was established. However, the attacks on this system, in which women and peoples live together without discrimination based on religion, language, or ethnicity are a continuation of the international conspiracy."

In its statement, KJK condemned the attacks, which disrespect the will of the people and women. The statement continued, "We affirm that protecting and expanding the gains of the women's revolution in Rojava in the face of these attacks means confronting this conspiracy. Leader Abdullah Ocalan has demonstrated the victorious struggle of the Kurdish people and all oppressed peoples, especially women, through his struggle against the genocidal regime in Imrali. He has also dedicated every moment of his life to elevating the struggle for humanity and paving the way for a free and dignified life against the existing regime of denial, genocide, and torture."

The statement pointed out that understanding the democratic, environmental, and women's liberation model established by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which offers hope to all oppressed peoples, especially women, means understanding the origins of this insidious international conspiracy. The statement explained, "At a time when there was deep despair about socialism globally and capitalism was declaring its victory over all the oppressed, Leader Abdullah Ocalan continued his struggle with his slogan, "Insistence on humanity is insistence on socialism."

The statement added that Leader Abdullah Ocalan not only exposed the root causes of society's economic, educational, health, moral, political, and environmental problems, but also proposed solutions. Therefore, understanding the truth about Leader Abdullah Ocalan means understanding the international conspiracy that includes 26 countries, with the Turkish state's assignment the role of guardian.

The statement pointed out that, in addition to the international conspiracy led by the United States, Britain, and Israel, the global capitalist system launched all kinds of vicious special war attacks against the Kurdish people, represented by Leader Abdullah Ocalan. It emphasized, "Our entire people, especially the free women, resisted these special war policies and continually took to the streets, declaring their passion for freedom, supported by Leader Abdullah Ocalan's honorable resistance."

The statement emphasized that women realized that the international conspiracy was primarily directed against them, so they continually took to the streets, declaring their loyalty to the leader and their desire for freedom. The statement added, "Leader Abdullah Ocalan realized that the salvation of society lies in the liberation of women. He focused on the women's revolution more than the national revolution, and confirmed that the ultimate goal of this revolution was to build free socialist women and men. He exerted great effort to build such strong figures. Meanwhile, the capitalist system exploited every moment to build enslaved women and men in opposition to free women and men."

The statement emphasized that the call for peace and a democratic society launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a crushing blow to the dreams of the malicious international conspiracy, emphasizing, "All our people, especially women and youth, must enthusiastically participate in and lead the march for peace and a democratic society, and once again thwart this vile conspiracy."

The statement noted that Leader Abdullah Ocalan emphasized that women are capable of succeeding in a peaceful and vibrant environment, but that men thrive and develop in a war environment, and that this dirty war is what makes men dominant. He also clearly revealed the reason for the massacres committed against women and children taking place today, especially in the Middle East, Kurdistan, and the world. Therefore, the struggle against the international conspiracy is, in essence, a struggle for a free life. The statement continued by affirming that the struggle against the conspiracy is a struggle against the enslavement of women and men. Therefore, as women, we can no longer tolerate seeing Leader Abdullah Ocalan as greater than the creation of a free life under the torture regime in Imrali.

In concluding its statement, KJK called on all people, especially women and youth, as well as all anti-regime forces, workers, toilers, and environmentalists, to achieve the leader's physical freedom and to build a free society. It called on them to build a democratic, environmental, and emancipatory model for women in all areas of life, to develop the struggle in the spirit of continuous progress, and to work tirelessly to achieve this.
