Kirkuk launches solidarity campaign with Rojava to collect humanitarian aid

Activists from civil society, alongside religious and political figures in the city of Kirkuk, launched the humanitarian campaign under the slogan “Kirkuk with Rojava,” with the goal of gathering urgent donations and aid to support the people of Rojava and the displaced.

The announcement was made during a press conference organized by the activists in Kirkuk, where they emphasized that the initiative represents a national and humanitarian responsibility, calling on all residents of the city to actively participate in providing support.

Organizers of the campaign explained that the people of Rojava are facing harsh conditions due to ongoing attacks and are suffering from a severe shortage of basic necessities, particularly infant formula, food supplies, and blankets. They stressed that a rapid response from both the local and international community has become an urgent necessity to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

According to the organizers, the campaign seeks to embody the spirit of solidarity among peoples and to reaffirm that Kirkuk stands alongside Rojava in its ordeal, by extending a helping hand and providing as many basic necessities as possible to the displaced and those affected.
