KDP participation alongside Turkey repeats what happened in Afrin 2018

The displaced inhabitants of Southern Kurdistan are reminded of the recent involvement of some Kurdish parties alongside the Turkish occupying state in the occupation of Afrin. They denounce the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the attacks on the Mediya and Southern Kurdistan defence areas.

The scene of the participation of some Kurdish and Kurdish parties alongside the Kurdish people ' s enemies in the attack on Kurdish areas is no longer the new scene, particularly Turkey' s involvement in the occupation of Kurdistan.

The first betrayals in history were recorded, Enkidu's betrayal of the jungle ruler Humbaba, and Herpetocus's betrayal of his uncle, the Emperor of Media. In history, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk used Hasan Khairi during the Treaty of Lausanne, Diab Agha's betrayal of the Kurdish tribes in 1919, and Reber's betrayal of his uncle Sayyid Riza in 1938. In our current era, the Kurdistan Democratic Party and its protégé, the so-called "Kurdish National Council", now represent that line.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party has renewed its participation with Turkey in the occupation of southern Kurdistan since the beginning of last July, among those forcibly displaced from Afrin since 2018, what they witnessed in the attack on Afrin.

Prior to the Turkish and mercenary attack on Afrin on January 20, 2018, a Turkish intelligence meeting was held in the city of Dilok (Antep), with the participation of members of the so-called "Kurdish National Council". Following the Turkish attack on Afrin, during the meeting held on March 18 in Turkey, the so-called "Afrin Local Council" was announced.

The so-called Hassan Shandi was appointed as its chairman. Shandi was a member of the so-called "Azadi Party", one of the parties of the Kurdish National Council, which united in 2014 with the Kurdish Yekiti Party to form the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria.

The displaced person from Afrin, Nabiha Bakr, pointed out that Turkey has always exploited the weak-willed Kurds throughout history, and participated with them in attempts to exterminate the Kurdish people. She said: "Today, once again, the forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Barzani family are participating in their attacks on southern Kurdistan."

Nabiha confirmed that the betrayal of the Kurdistan Democratic Party is the same as what she witnessed in her city, with the participation of the parties of the so-called "Kurdish National Council" in legitimizing the occupation of Afrin. She said that this betrayal has repercussions on the Kurdish peoples, and must be confronted with a firm national stance.

For her part, another displaced person, Shireen Ahmed, likened the occupation of the lands of southern Kurdistan, and the destruction of property and nature, to what the Turkish occupation state did in Afrin and the rest of the Syrian regions it occupied, stressing that Turkey and those who participate with it aim to exterminate the Kurds.

Shireen was not surprised by the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party alongside Turkey in its attacks on southern Kurdistan, pointing to the party's approach based on treason.

The displaced, Nidal Ibrahim, does not see anything new in this participation, which he described as renewed betrayal, except that it renewed his pain from the betrayal of his own people, stressing that the KDP's continued betrayal poses great risks to the gains achieved by the Kurdish peoples in the geography of Kurdistan.
