According to Roj News Agency, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) are set to convene a new meeting today to deliberate on the formation of the Kurdistan Region’s tenth government. A joint delegation, led by Masrour Barzani and Bafel Talabani, will gather in the Dukan area of Sulaymaniyah Province in Southern Kurdistan to address the issue of distributing ministerial and administrative posts within the new government. It is worth noting that since the parliamentary elections held on October 20, 2024, negotiating teams from both the PUK and KDP have met on eleven occasions, yet they have so far failed to reach a conclusive agreement regarding the establishment of the new Kurdistan Regional Government.
