Katz: we may need third strike against Iran; no withdraw from security zone in Syria

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said today that Israel might need to carry out a third strike against Iran to continue thwarting what he described as "Iranian threats."

During a tour of Mount Hermon, Katz added that Israel "will not move from the security zone" it controls within Syrian territory, confirming the continued deployment of its forces there and the defense of the Golan Heights.

He noted that Israel is also monitoring what he described as a "Hezbollah stronghold" in the Bekaa Valley region of Lebanon, as part of its tracking of Iranian and Hezbollah movements in the area.

Katz's remarks come amidst ongoing regional tension, with Israel maintaining its forces in positions within the security zone in Syria and continuing to monitor developments along the border and in Lebanon.
