K. Star in Darbasiyah discusses commune system with women

K. Star held a meeting today in the city of Darbasiyah, in the Jazira Canton, bringing together the co-chairs of the city’s communes and administrators from civil institutions and councils. The meeting aimed to discuss the role of women in the communes and was held in the hall of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) center in the city.

The meeting began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Fatima Kalash, an administrator at K. Star in Darbasiyah, spoke, emphasizing that the path to peace and building a democratic society begins with the establishment and organization of communes.

She added: “From this perspective, and in order to answer the call of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, everyone, especially women, must act to activate the communes to strengthen the concept of social justice and promote women's economy within them.”

The internal regulations of the communes were then read and explained. The meeting concluded with a decision to intensify training within the communes and regularly review their internal regulations in order to deepen the communal mindset in society. It was also agreed to conduct regular visits to the communes, especially those involving women, to observe their activities and plans.
