The Academy of Jineology (Women's Studies) in Rojava prepared two reports titled "War Crimes in North and East Syria" and "Some Cases of War Crimes Against Children in North and East Syria." These reports documented, with photos and videos, the violations committed by factions affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government and supported by the Turkish occupation state.

The documented reports include: “Deliberate attacks on civilians, torture, the killing of civilians, including children and women, mutilation and burning of corpses, destruction of martyrs’ shrines, execution of civilians and members of the armed forces, the removal of a young man’s heart and eyes, the bombing of hospitals and mosques where people had gathered, the cutting off of women’s hair, throwing the bodies of female fighters from heights, looting and theft, displacement of residents, bombing by Turkish state drones, and the abduction of civilians.”

The documents were collected between January 6 and 11, 2026, during attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Aleppo, and between January 17 and 26, 2026, during attacks on Deir Hafer, Tabqa, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Kobani.

In this context, Liman Sheikho, a member of the Jineology Academy in Rojava, spoke to ANHA agency about the content of the reports prepared by the academy, noting that the war in Syria is not new and that attacks against the Kurds are ongoing.

She added: "As the Jineology Academy, we wanted to document the violations that occurred and deliver them to relevant institutions and organizations. In the attacks that have continued since January 6, 2026, civilians, hospitals, mosques, and homes have been targeted. These attacks were carried out with weapons belonging to the Turkish state, which proves external support. We have documented this with 100% conclusive footage and photographs."
