The Embassy of Japan in Damascus announced a new financial contribution of €3 million to the Syria Recovery Trust Fund (SRTF), the ninth contribution since the fund's establishment.

Charge Affaires and Special Coordinator for Syria Akihiro Tsuji affirmed on the X platform: "We will continue our unwavering commitment to strengthening stability and resilience in Syria, and we look forward to a brighter future for the Syrian people by strengthening recovery and development efforts."

The SRTF was established in 2013 by Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. It is a multi-donor trust fund that finances projects to rehabilitate and restore basic services inside Syria.
