Israeli strikes on Baniyas, Homs kill 7 people

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the death toll of the Israeli targeting of a site in the Al-Furqalus area in the eastern countryside of Homs had risen to 6 people, in addition to the burning of sealed refrigerated trucks that were loaded with weapons.

A child lost her life in the Israeli strikes on Baniyas, bringing the death toll from the Israeli bombing to 7, in addition to a number of injuries.

On Wednesday, Israeli missiles targeted two sites in Syrian territory, at least one military site in Homs near the Al-Furqalus area, and a residential building in the city of Baniyas in the coastal region.

Since the beginning of the year, SOHR documented 43 attacks in 2024: 32 airstrikes and 12 rocket attacks by ground forces. These strikes resulted in the injury and destruction of about 91 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles, and led to the death of 13 citizens, including a girl, and 32 others, while these strikes led to the killing of 148 soldiers, in addition to wounding 69 others.
