The death toll from the Israeli bombing on sites near Aleppo International Airport rose to 42 people, 36 of whom were from Damascus government forces and 6 from Lebanese Hezbollah, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Israeli strikes targeted a missile warehouse belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah, and a training center is located near it in the Jibreen area near Aleppo International Airport. The Israeli bombing also targeted defense factories in Al-Safira, and explosions sounded in Kafr Joum, west of Aleppo, Meanwhile, regime air-defences fired several missiles, attempting to intercept the Israeli missiles, but some missiles reached their goals.

It is worth noting that this is the highest death toll ever among regime forces in a single Israeli attack in Syrian territory.

For its part, an agency affiliated with the Damascus Forces reported, quoting a military source, that, “At approximately 1:45 a.m., Israel targeted from the direction of Athreya, southeast of Aleppo, a number of points in the Aleppo countryside, resulting in the killing and wounding of a number of civilians and soldiers, and causing material losses to property.”
