Israeli patrol penetrates into Quneitra countryside

In a new escalation in southern Syria, an Israeli army patrol entered the entrance to the al-Hanout farm in the village of Saida, in the southern countryside of Quneitra, on Sunday. The patrol, consisting of five SUVs, briefly entered the area before continuing its advance.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the patrol set up a temporary checkpoint at the farm's entrance, conducting searches and identity checks of passersby, in a step considered a continuation of Israeli incursions and military movements within the contact zones without any objection from any party.

A similar movement occurred in the Yarmouk Basin area on Saturday evening, when two Israeli military vehicles advanced towards the outskirts of the town of Koya without entering it, before stopping briefly and leaving the area amid indiscriminate gunfire, as they returned to the "al-Jazira" barracks, which Israeli forces have used as a base since the second day after the fall of the Assad regime.

These movements come amid escalating tensions and repeated Israeli reconnaissance operations inside Syrian territory, with no official response from the Syrian Transitional Government.
